About Cedar City
Cedar City is a surprisingly cool mountain town that just happens to have world-class cultural attractions in astonishing proximity to southwest Utah’s famous Mighty Five© National Parks. Cedar City is also known as “Festival City, USA” with a plethora of events taking place year-round such as free music festivals, downtown parades, and bike races. Free from crushing traffic and frantic city pacing, Cedar City doesn’t skip on amenities. Historic Downtown is quaint with local shops and an impressive menu of “urban-esque” cuisine and southern Utah’s only winery.
At a glance, Cedar City has a population of 28,867 and an elevation of 5,800 feet.

Explore The City
We have an unbelievable range of outdoor recreation available in Cedar City, but this doesn’t mean that you should skip the arts, dining, and shopping in the city! With an afternoon in Historic Downtown, you can find incredible locally-owned shops, restaurants, and some great murals too. Grab a coffee from a local spot and check out the boutiques, vintage stores, and home decor shops on Main Street. After shopping pause for lunch at any of the wonderful restaurants within a block of each other. Or relax with a quick yoga session!

Spark creativity with a visit to the Southern Utah Museum of Art. Find your new favorite decor statement piece at Artisans Gallery. And don’t forget to check out the beautiful sculpture gardens at the home of the Utah Shakespeare Festival!

A drink in hand and a stunning red rock view, that’s exactly how we picture an evening well-spent on vacation. With a visit to Cedar City, you might not expect to find southern Utah’s premier winery (IG Winery) and a nano brewery (Policy Kings Brewery) in one small town. So finding them so close to each other is even more surprising! Stop in for a drink, play some games, and relax before heading out on your next Cedar City adventure. 🍻

Explore Outdoor Recreation

Wait for summer afternoons and hit a couple of the nearby trails for some incredible trails!
