16th Annual Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival

16th Anniversary Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival held at Cross Hollow Event Center (11 N Cross Hollow Rd, Cedar City). Tractor Pulls, Antique Cars, Draft Horse Pulls, Lamb Burgers, Ranch Rodeo, Quilt Show, and more! Don’t forget the memorable Sheep Parade on Saturday (October 30th)! Unless noted otherwise, all events are free and take place at the Cross Hollows Events Center (Iron Rangers Outdoor Arena and Diamond Z Indoor Arena) located at 11 North Cross Hollows Drive. Events are subject to change.  Updates are made to this schedule as they occur, please check back.

Friday-October 29

Cedar Chest Quilters Quilt Show
10:00 am – 7:00 pm The Cedar Chest Quilters Guild will display their pieced textile art, beautiful machine-made and handmade quilts at the Heritage Center Lobby located at 105 N. 100 East, Cedar City.

Livestock Festival
3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Honoring Cedar City’s rich agricultural heritage. Featuring western vendors, agricultural displays, antique tractor show, ongoing cowboy poetry, music, and more. Held at the Cross Hollows Events Center.

Antique Tractor & Machinery Show
3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Cross Hollows Parking Lot

Junior Ranch Rodeo
4:30 pm Kids compete in ranch skills including team roping, wild goat milking, and branding.  Held next to the Iron Rangers Arena.  If you are interested in competing please contact Lee Bingham (435) 671-8086 or  leeb@discoveryranchforgirls.com.

Draft Horse Teamster Contest
6:00 pm Come get up close and personal with these tremendous animals and see teamsters show off their driving skills.  Held at the Iron Rangers Arena.

Saturday- October 30

Sheep Parade
10:00 am The sheep parade is the highlight event of the Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival and is one of the most unique parades in the country. Approximately 1,000 sheep will be herded down Cedar City’s Main Street. There will be historic sheep wagons, antique tractors, vintage cars,  and so much more. The parade route is from 200 South to 400 North. For your safety, please leave dogs at home, stay to the sides of the street, and do not get in front of the sheep.

Dutch Oven Competition
Held at the Diamond Z Arena (11 N Cross Hollows Rd, Cedar City) after the parade. To participate or for information contact Alishia at (805) 504-6657 or alhawk2209@gmail.com

Livestock Festival
11:00 am to 5:00 pm Honoring Cedar City’s rich agricultural heritage. Featuring vendors, agricultural displays, hands-on demonstrations, and pioneer activities provided by the Frontier Homestead State Park, antique tractor show, vintage car display, ongoing cowboy poetry, music, and more. Held at the Cross Hollows Events Center.

Vintage Car Display
11:00 am  to 3:00 pm Stock automobiles built before 1950 will be on display on the west side of Cross Hollows. Featuring the fully restored autos of the Cedar Breaks Model A Club. To participate with a car, please contact John Gibson at (702) 277-8968 or johnpg@mindspring.com

Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull
12:00 pm – Registration starts at noon. Kids ages ten and younger compete with miniature pulling sleds similar to the ones used in the Antique Tractor Pull. Pedal tractors will be provided by the Color Country Antique Machinery Association. There’s no charge to participate and prizes will be awarded. Held near the Iron Rangers Outdoor Arena near the concession stand.

Antique Tractor Pull & Draft Horse Pull
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Cross Hollows Parking Lot The antique tractor pull is an action-packed event featuring tractors built before 1960. Held in conjunction with the Tractor Pull will be a Draft Horse Pull featuring 12 teams including the World Champion Horse Pull Team. The event is free to spectators and will take place in the Cross Hollows Events Center Iron Rangers Arena. Anyone wishing to participate with their antique tractor should contact Paul Moen at (435) 704-1746.

Dennis Stowell Memorial Ranch Rodeo
1:00 pm Teams compete in authentic ranch skills including branding, sort and rope team doctoring, trailer loading, and sorting. Held next to the northeast side of the Iron Rangers Outdoor Arena.

Cowboy Church
10:00 am at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum (635 N Main St, Cedar City) admission is FREE.
