Parowan Gap: Archeoastronomy Event* is held between  8:00 am & 8:30 am at the Parowan Gap Historical Site (12 miles north of Cedar City off Hwy 130). Enjoy the FREE Interpretative program before watching as the Summer Sun is spit out by the rock face profile at Parowan Gap signifying the return of the summer sun. Those attending the Free event should dress warm. You are welcome to bring your own HOT Coffee or Chocolate to drink to help keep you warm. For information call Nancy (435) 463-3735

Those attending will be able to observe this astronomical change of the season’s event just like past Indigenous People did. This event only occurs in February each year. It signaled to the tribespeople that the Summer Sun is returning.
