State flag Semi-Finalists
Utah State Flag Semi-Finalists Display held 10:00 am – 8:00 pm at the Beverley Center For the Arts – Green Show Lawn (195 W Center St, Cedar City), admission is FREE and open to everyone. Come and check out the twenty Utah state flag semi-finalists which include new colors and new symbols and express Utah’s shared identity. The pop-up exhibition is part of More Than A Flag, a year-long initiative of the Utah State Flag Task Force to consider a new design. Last spring more than 7,000 ideas for a new flag were submitted and this summer the submissions were narrowed down and refined to 20 semi-finalists. Everyone is invited to come and see the designs and offer feedback. Commenters are asked to consider whether each flag represents Utah and Utahns, and why. After reviewing the public feedback, the Design Review Committee will select four to six finalists to be presented to the Utah State Task Force. The task force will then present a final design to the Utah Legislature later this year.
Those that are unable to see the exhibit in person can see each design and provide feedback at flag.utah.gov/final-flag-designs.
