SUU- Festival of Trees
SUUs Department of Theatre, Dance, and Arts Administration presents the 9th Annual Holiday Festival of Trees held in the lobby of the Randall L Jones Theatre (W College Ave, Cedar City). Admission is FREE but everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Iron County Care and Share. The hours of viewing are 9:00 am – 8:00 pm.
The Festival of Trees is not only a community event to celebrate the season, but also a way to raise funds for Iron County Care and Share. All trees and wreaths on display have been decorated and provided by local businesses and individuals. These trees will be sold through a silent auction, with all proceeds being donated to Iron County Care and Share. To add to the festivities once again the balcony of the Randall Jones will be decorated with the Utah Shakespeare Festivals Christmas Village, which is sure a sight to behold.
Saturday will truly be a family-orientated day at the festival. Starting at 9:30 am there will be readings of Christmas stories as well as a coloring station and contest for children. Santa will join the festival from about 10 am to 1 pm in the lobby for children and families to visit. There will be a place for visitors to bid on trees. Winning bids will be announced on December 12th and trees delivered soon after.
