DAY ONE: HIT THE SLOPES AT BRIAN HEAD
AFTERNOON + EVENING
Begin your winter getaway in Brian Head, a small mountain town along Highway 143 known for its snowy terrain and outdoor adventures. After arriving and checking into your lodging, head straight to Brian Head Resort for an afternoon on the slopes. Reserve your lift passes and equipment rentals ahead of time so you can spend less time planning and more time enjoying the fresh powder. Around lunchtime, stop by Last Chair Grill & Bar before heading back out to enjoy the mountain.
As evening rolls in, keep the winter fun going with a visit to Brian Head Ice for some ice skating among the trees and mountain scenery. Tickets cost $15 for children and $20 for adults, with skate rentals available for an additional $5. Afterwards, enjoy dinner and drinks at Pizanos Pizzeria before bundling up for one more adventure. Head to the North Overlook at Cedar Breaks National Monument to take in the incredible night skies.

DAY TWO: SNOW ADVENTURES & CEDAR CITY SITES
MORNING
Start your second day with an unforgettable winter adventure. Meet up with Thunder Mountain Motorsports for a guided snowmobile tour through the beautiful scenery around Brian Head Town and Cedar Breaks National Monument. The three-hour tour starts at 9 am and offers a unique way to explore the snowy mountain landscape.
AFTERNOON + EVENING
After your morning on the snow, pack up, and head down the canyon toward the Parowan Gap Petroglyphs. This historic site is home to one of the largest collections of petroglyphs in the western United States. Take some time to explore these fascinating rock carvings and don't forget to find dinosaur tracks approximately 2 miles east of the gap. Then, head to Cedar City for lunch at one of the many dining options in Historic Downtown.
Spend the rest of the afternoon visiting the Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA), where you can browse its rotating exhibits and admire the building's unique architecture, which was inspired by Utah's slot canyons and dazzling night skies. While you're there, step outside to explore the sculpture gardens at the Beverly Center for the Arts.
As evening approaches, enjoy a wine tasting at I/G Winery, followed by dinner at The Pub Spirits + Craft Kitchen. After dinner, make your way to Kanarraville for the night. Have some extra time and energy? Consider a small detour to Kolob Canyons, the northern section of Zion National Park, for another opportunity to stargaze and capture Southern Utah's night skies.
DAY THREE: HORSEBIKE RIDES & WINTER VIEWS
MORNING + AFTERNOON
Spend your final morning experiencing Southern Utah's scenery from a different perspective. Bundle up and head out with Rising K Ranch in Kanarraville for a guided horseback ride through the snowy mountain terrain. For some of the best views, consider booking the Cedar Trail Ride. This one-and-a-half hour experience includes a brief horseback riding lesson before you set off. Morning rides are available at 9 am and 10:30 am.
After your ride, stop at Fire + Smoke BBQ for lunch before heading home. If you have the time, make one final stop at Kolob Canyons. The five-mile scenic drive is especially beautiful in winter, when snow contrasts the striking crimson cliffs. Take your time enjoying the views and capturing the area's unforgettable landscape.
