With rentals available in town from Prime Adventure Outfitters, finding vibrant fall views in style is easy with an ATV ride through the backcountry around Brian Head! Don't miss viewpoints like High Mountain, the Twisted Forest Trailhead (where you can hike to find ancient Bristlecone Pines!), and Bear Flat along the way.
3. Visit the Parowan Gap Petroglyphs Historic Site
While you might not find bright fall leaves on this adventure, you'll find an unforgettable historic site and beautiful landscape. Golden grass and flowering sage/rabbit brush line the road and stand out among the dark sandstone. Thousands of petroglyphs, carefully etched into stone walls, stand out in the light.
Getting There: Take a scenic drive from Cedar City along Hwy 130, turn right at Gap Road. After exploring, continue your drive through the canyon along Gap Rd to the town of Parowan.
4. Mountain Bike Trails

5. Play Disc Golf Among the Fall Leaves
Parowan Canyon is home to stunning views and some of the brightest fall foliage. It's also home to a disc golf course, making it a fun activity to add to your fall scenic drive. Navigate through the 18-hole disc golf course (watch out for the creek!) and take in unique rock formations, red rock views, and vibrant fall leaves along the way.
*Edited to add: There are TWO disc golf courses here, side by side. One course is 9 holes, the other 18.
Getting There: 1 mile from Parowan on Hwy 143.
While there's a bit of adventure in every option listed above, they're still perfect for cozy sweaters and fall views.
