Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games - 40th Years of Celebrating Sports!
Summer in Iron County is bigger and better than ever! The Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games is celebrating 40 years of community, competition and family fun with anniversary events. From Memorial Day to the Fourth of July weekend, enjoy weekly community events, special activities, and more. The can’t-miss moment? Utah Shakespeare Festival – 65 years of world-class theater!
Since 1961, the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespeare Festival has grown from a small outdoor stage to a cultural icon of the American West, dedicated to storytelling, innovation, and unforgettable performances. The kick off to this special season, there will be an all-day celebration on June 26th, including opening week performances in the Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre and Randall L. Jones Theatre, opening exhibits at SUMA, live music, a vendor street fest, and other special events to honor the ten-year anniversary of the Beverley Center. Celebrating 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was signed, the Festival is excited to include a tribute to our country in this season’s lineup. One of the nightly summer Greenshows, directed by Trey Plutnicki and written by Britannia Howe, will exhibit an “Americana” theme, playing every Wednesday and Saturday from June 27th to September 5th.



Beverley Taylor Sorensen Center for the Arts – 10 Years as Cedar City’s arts headquarters
It’s been a decade since this vibrant arts hub opened at Southern Utah University, uniting the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Southern Utah Museum of Art. The Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts (The Beverley) incorporates visual arts, live theatre, and dynamic arts education on the Southern Utah University campus in Cedar City, and dramatically enriches the cultural life of the community and its surrounding region. 2026 marks 10 years as the premier destination where visual and performing arts converge. The Beverley is located at 195 W. Center Street. On June 26th , join an all-day anniversary celebration featuring opening-week performances, new SUMA exhibits, live music, a vendor street fest, and special events honoring 10 years of creativity and community.
Southern Utah Museum of Art – 10 Years of Inspiration
Celebrating 10 years of transformative visual arts and regionally inspired exhibitions, Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA) is unveiling a major exhibition from June 5 to September 26, 2026. Explore treasures from the vault, many never-before-seen pieces, alongside new acquisitions and gifts that have enriched the museum’s collection over the past decade. Expect everything from Chagall to Dixon, Japanese woodblock prints to contemporary photography. SUMA’s summer programming will also
recognize the founding of the Beverley Center and the 65th anniversary of Utah Shakespeare Festival in two special exhibitions and a series of special events.
